  • The Probility Ann Arbor Marathon

    Description:

    All distance events — marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K — start just outside one of Ann Arbor’s most memorable landmarks: the University of Michigan Stadium. From the Big House, participants run through downtown Ann Arbor, then wind their way through the panoramic University of Michigan campus. The marathon and half marathon courses also encompass stretches along the Huron River and Gallup Park and through Nichols Arboretum before returning to campus and downtown. All races end with a spectacular finish right on Main Street.

    FoolMoon is the glowing sister to FestiFools. It is a community built event that celebrates light, local creativity, and local business. From the Grizzly Peak Beer Tent, to luminaries, to booty-shakin’ in the street, FoolMoon is one of the best nights in Ann Arbor.

    FestiFools is an unique and amazing parade featuring dozes of giant papier-mache puppets and creatures created by local artists and others who want to show off their creative side. Puppets can be spooky and scary, weird and creepy and even fierce and glamorous—the possibilities are endless. No matter their appearance, the puppets are meant to pack a playful punch and delight the thousands of spectators that flock to Ann Arbor to partake in the parade’s festivities.

    Long considered an artistic oasis and a home to the counterculture, Ann Arbor is the Midwest’s cultural nexus. The AABF street fair is held in idyllic downtown Ann Arbor, a bustling community where the independent book store still thrives. Join like-minded bibliophiles as they set up shop along a beautiful stretch between the University of Michigan and downtown Ann Arbor. This event will gather authors, libraries and literacy groups, publishers, artisans and writers groups and will include dynamic programming. The day’s events will culminate in the last Book Crawl of the festival, in which authors and poets gather at local restaurants, bars, bookstores and shops to read from their latest works.
